A2 Family First Prevention Services Act –Understanding the Accreditation Process for QRTPs and Other Service Providers

This interactive session provides a dynamic overview of the benefits that accreditation delivers for child welfare organizations along with what it takes to become a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) under the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA). Participants will learn about the fundamental organizational requirements necessary for accreditation how to navigate the process and tactics to avoid common pitfalls. Discussions will include agency-wide quality practices that should be expected as a result of earning accreditation. There also will be a comparison of the accrediting bodies approved under FFPSA and suggestions on how to approach the costs involved.
