D3 Collaborative Problem Solving: An Overview of the Trauma-Informed Approach to Working with Youth and Families
Collaborative Problem Solving is a trauma-informed and evidence-based approach that is disseminated through Think: Kids based at Massachusetts General Hospital.
This workshop provides a brief overview of the philosophy and approach for use with challenging youth and their families. Participants will gain an understanding of how to use the philosophy to rethink challenging kids in terms of lagging thinking skills, and how to build helping relationships within families through solving problems durably and collaboratively.
Brandon Pressley is a supervisor for Youth Villages in the Intercept intensive home-based program where he became the first certified practitioner of Collaborative Problem Solving in the state of Indiana. Brandon is currently a Leadership-focused MSW student at IUPUI.
