You will want to attend this interactive session as we explore your perception and bias. We will unpack and become more aware of ourselves and understand how that impacts our professional lives. By examining how we perceive, categorize, and process incoming information, we can understand why we do what we do, and how we can improve by not discriminating.
Gina Forrest is a native Hoosier and wants to make Indiana a better, healthier, happier state! She has over 10 years of experience in the public health field where her expertise is in conducting needs assessments, program planning, and evaluation. She has taught college-level courses at Butler University and Indiana University, including Health Disparities, Program Planning, Public Health Administration, Healthcare in Diverse Communities, Personal Health, and Community Health. In addition, she has been in the field of training and facilitating discussion in the areas of diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness for some time. Topics include Implicit Bias, Race, Ethnicity, Working with and across the Generations, Healthy Communication, and De-escalation.
