Family Safety Planning: How to Make Legal Plans for Emergencies, October 6, 1:00pm-2:30pm

From concerns of undocumented immigrants to our current crisis with the Covid-19 pandemic, the need for planning ahead for the care of children is a critical one. This workshop will address the need for family safety plans, how they can be used, legal considerations, and practical options.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify critical elements of family safety plans
  • Use the different options in their own practices and lives
  • Analyze best options for family safety plans

Presenter Bio:

Katherine Meger Kelsey is the Director of the Children's Law Center of Indiana, a program of Kids' Voice of Indiana. She is an attorney who has practiced in family and juvenile law for more than ten years. She is the author of many works, including the 2017 CHINS Deskbook.
