C4: Support and Empowerment of Youth Through Resilience


Trauma and stress create barriers to the development of independence and empowerment of young people. This training will identify factors of resilience and discuss ways we can build independence and empowerment by building resilience among the youth we serve. The training will provide strategies you can start using immediately to support young people.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will learn the value of resilience and brain plasticity in combatting the impacts of trauma and stress.
  • Participants will learn about the psychological and external factors that contribute to resilience
  • Participants will learn strategies for building resilience factors that build independence and empowerment for youth

Presenter Bio:

Robin Donaldson is the COO at Indiana Youth Services Association and is the founder and CEO of Collective Impact Training and Consulting, LLC. She has been in the youth services field for nearly 30 years and has been teaching psychology classes since August 2001.
