Behavioral Clinician Job Description

Salary range: based on education level/ licensure type and experience (discussed in interviews)

Start dates: we offer orientations every two weeks, we work with each new hire’s schedule to find a start date based on their availability

Licensing: Can start with pending temporary license application, with contingencies (discussed during interview)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview, counsel, and provide resolution for clients in crisis situation involving social, emotional, financial, marital, health, or other problems
  • Up to 85% travel for trainings and providing client services.
  • Case Management Services - evaluation, preparation, and implementation of case management plans
  • Organize and conduct client support groups
  • Maintain working relationships and act as a liaison for client with medical staff and staff of agencies and institutions, homes, and facilities
  • Encourage and assist clients toward independent living and a sense of self-esteem
  • Prepare and maintain written case records, reports and forms, including case follow-up and closing
  • Maintain Meridian Health Services standards, policies, procedures, and regulations in accordance with local, state and federal laws and with ethical standards of profession
  • Maintain productivity standards as assigned

Travel expectations with job: up to 85% travel for training and providing client services.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualities:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent with 2 years paid behavioral healthcare experience required at minimum
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A valid driver's license with a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
  • A commitment to providing individual attention to help clients achieve mental, emotional and physical well-being
  • Ability to adhere to Meridian Driving Policy and onboarding policies/screenings. 

Therapist Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Up to 10% travel for trainings and providing client services.
  • Provide various therapeutic services that may include individual, group psychotherapy, play therapy, music therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, etc.
  • Ability to meet required client care hours
  • Comply with company documentation standards
  • Maintain appropriate professional behavior and relationships

Travel expectations with job: up to 25% for training and patient services (depending on location)

Work Hours: flexible

We are seeking candidates with the following qualities:

  • Master's degree in Indiana license eligible field (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy) REQUIRED
  • Proof of application for the Indiana exam to obtain Temporary Licensure is required within 60 days of hire at minimum
  • Successful attainment of LSW or Associate Licensure (LMFTA, LMHCA, or similar license) required within 120 days of hire
  • LCSW, LMFT, LMHC preferred
  • Experience providing professional counseling preferred
