Homemaker/Parent Aid

Salary range: $24-$27 per billable face-to-face client contact (Based upon qualifications and experience.)

Job description: Independent contractors provide evidence-based services to adults, children, youth, and families where one or more family member(s) experiences abusive behavior or acts abusive toward others. Services are conducted in the client home setting and/or community. Abusive behaviors include such behaviors as sexually maladaptive behaviors, substance abuse, physically abusive behaviors, neglect of children, and/or domestic violence. Responsible for coordinating continuum of goals for all assigned clients and their families ensuring optimum utilization of resources, service delivery, and compliance with external agencies and referral sources requirements. Responsible for coordinating services, discharge activities, and various duties related to coordinating treatment. Provide skills to parents in a structured manner using a model accepted by DCS standard and Pathway.

The contract employee in this position is expected to provide 30 days’ notice prior to voluntary resignation. A probationary period of 90 days is required.

Travel expectations: Pathway International strives to be geographically friendly. Providers should be willing and able to drive within a 30-40-minute radius of the provider’s home to meet referred clients.

Work hours: Flexible; Providers are able to set their own schedule with clients.

  • Must possess valid Indiana driver’s license and auto insurance/declaration (1 Million in the aggerate) page on file.

  • Must be licensed, can include temporary/associates license.
    • Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A)
    • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCa)
  • Preferred experience in human services field and/or child welfare
  • Must possess valid Indiana driver’s license and auto insurance/declaration (1 Million in the aggerate) page on file with Pathway.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass all required background checks (CPS history and local law enforcement background checks)

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Meet with clients on a regular basis. The frequency of sessions is based on level of need and the referral source’s request.
  • Will follow the Department of Children Services’ (DCS) Standards
  • Will provide therapy based on best practice models.
  • Will assess each case on a case-by-case basis.
  • Complete a comprehensive assessment (Biological Psychological Social Assessment, BPSA), Treatment Plan and Safety Plan
  • Complete professional paperwork by deadlines as requested by DCS/Probation Standards & Pathway requirements such as Intake consents, BPSA, treatment plans, treatment plan updates, weekly progress notes, safety plans, monthly reports, discharge summaries, etc…
  • Demonstrate respect and cultural sensitivity to Pathway team members, owners, clients, and to all referral sources.
  • Must be empathetic and compassionate.
  • Independently comply with trainings/CEU's to fulfill hours for licensure. 
  • Always maintain confidentiality.
  • Always remain HIPAA compliant.
  • Participate in monthly team meeting and supervision consistently per the DCS standards.
  • Maintain professionalism. 
  • Have own laptop for Electronic Records Management.
