Direct Care Worker

Salary range: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Full and part-time positions available

Job Description: Multiple part-time positions available, potentially leading to full-time work, primarily covering openings on weekend shifts in a residential setting. One or two 8 hour shifts available every weekend or every other weekend. Will consider longer shifts and more consistent hours if interested. Will be working with youth ages 10-19. Applicant must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and be insurable. Prefer a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other related human service field, will accept resumes with a high school diploma or GED.

Direct Care applicants must be willing to participate as a member of a team, hold youth accountable for behaviors, possess skills in re-direction and crisis intervention, and follow specific rules/guidelines. Direct Care applicants should expect to be on their feet for the majority of shifts worked attending to the numerous responsibilities of the position. Direct Care applicants must be able to role model appropriate behavior and socially accepted interaction 100% of the time. Direct Care applicants must be able to mentor the youth in care and develop appropriate and effective rapport with the youth in care.

Community Based Therapist

Salary range: $37,350.00 - $61,319.00 per year

Job Description: Home Based Family Centered Therapy to children, youth and adults.

Work Hours: flexible

Candidate Qualifications: Master’s or Doctorate degree with a current license issued by the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board as one of the following:

  1. Social Worker
  2. Clinical Social Worker
  3. Marriage and Family Therapist
  4. Mental Health Counselor
  5. Marriage and Family Therapist Associate
  6. Mental Health Counselor Associate.

OR

Master’s degree with a temporary permit issued by the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board as one of the following:

  1. Social Worker
  2. Clinical Social Worker
  3. Marriage and Family Therapist
  4. Mental Health Counselor

Home Based Family Centered Therapy applicants should have/possess:

  • Knowledge of family of origin/intergenerational issues
  • Knowledge of child abuse/neglect
  • Knowledge of child and adult development
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Belief in helping clients change, to increase the level of functioning, and knowledge of strength-based initiatives to bring about change
  • Belief in the family preservation philosophy
  • Knowledge of motivational interviewing
  • Skillful in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Skillful in the use of evidence-based strategies
